Hi guys,

I'm 17 and just passed my A2.

I'm looking for a bike and I'm looking to the supermoto side of things because they aren't as heavy as sports bikes. Secondly, they don't have fairings so if I was to drop it, the chance of damage is lowered.

I have a few concerns though:

- My size. I'm about 5 foot 8 inches. SM bikes tend to be fairly tall. Is lowering a possibility? One good thing though about SM bikes is that they don't weigh as much as sport bikes?

- Power. A lot of SM's are in the 600cc range. Power delivery is different compared to a sports bike, what's your opinion on this?

- My research into bikes has only just began. I have seen the CCM R30 which is 137KG, which I believe I will be okay to handle.

I haven't really looked at any other bikes yet.
 
You could get a Suzuki's DR-Z 400 SM. Good power & fun.
Can be lowered with a lowering link. Power is not rapid,but it will do
the job nicely in a canyon riding setting.

Lots of good choices & just about all can be lowered for your height needs.
