I have always wanted to start some kind of NGO/Non-Profit that helps with literacy. Granted I am only in college now and this idea will only be hatched in the future but I would love to not only help with literacy in the United States but also in countries in Africa (Sierra Leone, Kenya etc...) that speak English. I know that a lot of NGO's are concerned in developmental aspects, or, clean water and sanitation areas but I don't see too many that promote literacy which I think is essential. Do you think this is a good idea?
