ICE is refusing to deport illegal immigrants

Well I mean this: Supreme Court Justices interpret the constitution (both conservative and liberal) based on contemporaneous language and viewpoints. Even when someone claims they are staying true to the "word" of the constitution, that is a dubious claim. The only ones who truly know what those words mean are the ones who wrote the constitution.

Similarly with national myths, Betsy Ross sewing the first flag is one of those things people take for granted so much so that it's assumed to be fact. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betsy_Ross_flag

Similarly, that poem on the base of the statue of liberty takes on mythical associations in the American psyche, particularly of people with certain political ideologies. I'm actually studying the way that signs take on a certain symbology that wasn't originally intended. Pretty fascinating.

I doubt you will get anything out of this, as you seemingly have a closed mind but here you go:

Securing the border should't be up to the state of Arizona and I can almost guarantee its not their responsibility...Since Border Patrol isn't a state/county/local police division. I believe its up to the Federal Government.

Incompitano pulled the funding. It had nothing, from my recollection, to do with AZ

I don't see what's stopping them.

I for one would like to see the national guard at our border.

It's republicans who have fought tooth and nail to not punish employers for hiring illegals.

Illegals come here for jobs and employers (republicans) are more than willing to exploit them.

"AZ is referring to this as a political stand-off" said the Fox News Analyst...

Fox News heard from ICE....I will update....ibtheylied

Arizona is reporting that if ICE refuses to deport residents that are sent to them, they will be thrown in jails and prisons until the Obama Administration deport them.

Under the AZ law, it would be a misdemeanor, not a felony.

I also find it funny you quote from the Statue of Liberty, which resides next to Ellis Island, which subsequently didn't allow immigrants to come into the country illegally, or if they were criminals, retards, or deadbeats that wanted to mooch off the public. They were repacked onto a boat and sent home.

dude, i dont think you're understanding.

the point is you're AMERICAN, not russian-american.

if you want to hyphenate then thats like saying you're a russian living in america.

russian, mexican, chinese, whatever. once you become a citizen you need to think of yourself as an american instead of segregating yourself.

actually the border is not something the state can protect or secure. It's strictly federal.

I'm not even going to address the first part, since you know very well that presidents criticize legislation that they don't agree with on a daily basis. It's dumb to think that presidents don't criticize citizens.

I've got my tin foil hat on waiting for this secret Obama and Calderon alliance to come to light and the subsequent fucking America is going to receive.
