no. you are not permitted to join him until he gets accompanied orders and that will not be until after his training is completed.
don't even bother during Basic, you will not see him.. ever. if you choose to move where his AITis it will be out of pocket and he will not be allwoed to live with you nor can you live on base.
only children who live in base housing can attend schools on base.
Unless his orders for AIT are longer than 20 weeks he will not get accompanied orders meaning you have to stay behind. Your child will have to start school where you are and when he gets his final orders you move and the child transfers to a new school. Not all schools on base are DoD schools many are run by the local county. Plus there is a chance that you might not actually get to live on base, you have to be prepared to live off base if there is a wait for housing.
Unless your husband is on PCS or TCS orders that allow dependents you will have to wait until he is done. He will receive Basic Housing Allowance where you are located until you all relocate together. Once you are at your duty station that you are assigned the child may go to school on post. Good luck
