i880 Pro's:
The physical looks are appealing. It has dual speakers on BOTH sides (front flip & keypad side).
i880 Cons:
I hate the UI on the motorola side. Ive been thru 3 nextel side phones and i just royally hate the UI. Something about it just irritates me.

i885 Pro's:
I love boost's UI. Easy to read, look at, and simple to surf with. The setup is better.. everything about that UI is great.
i885 Cons:
well, the phsyical looks are not so appealing. It doesnt have dual speakers on the front flip but it does on the keypad side. The music keys are on the side of the flip which will make it a bit harder to work with.

So, im stuck between 2 phones and i like each one for a specific thing. Whats ur opinions..??
 
i was in ur same position and i chose the i880 and i use it with boost mobile. To me the i880 looks a hell of a lotttt nicer than he ugly i885, so i just use my i880 with boost mobile instead of being stuck on a nextel contract with a network eing wanted to be phased out!
 
Yeah i have boost also and i have the i830 now. I am leaning toward the i880 cause it just looks better. Id rather have a better looking phone and crappy UI than to deal with an ugle phone and easy UI.
I just dont see why is the heck motorola changed the look of the i885. I mean ALL boost and nextel phones were identical till the i880 & i885 came out. The only difference between them was the UI on boost and boost phones are LOCKED to boost sim chips... Other than that, all were physically the same on the our shell..
Oh well, im more than likely to get the i880 but i was also looking into the new IC phones, but then i would loose my boost service. I would have to switch over to sprint and sign a new contract which i DO NOT wana do.

Who knows whats gonna happen with nextel in the future. I really like these phones..!!
