The codeplug is basically the software in your phone. You can obtain the codeplug from your phone with a program called Super Agent RSS or Carrier RSS. You will hook your phone to your computer the same as you would to download rigntones to it, but instead you open the Carrier program and select to Read Phone. Once it has read gthe phone you can save your Codeplug and give it to whomever is asking for it. To reinstall it is much the same. Open the Carrier program load your new codeplug, hook your phone to your computer and select Write Phone. After it is complete your phone will restart itself and you are done.

Info on software sources would be good too! 
I know from previous posts that Ford is looking to consolidate all the iDEN software into one area on CPF.net. Don't know to what degree this has occured. I know he checks all threads religiously, but he doesn't offer advice on how to use the software... you're on your own for that. In using the softwares myself, I've found plethoras of info via search engine http://www.metacrawler.com and of course, http://www.google.com

okay well i would go through and getttin that RSS stuff but unfortanetly my i week old i836 has got stolen!!!
