We had to put together a sonnet for class and mine is inspired by my favorite teacher. I want to give this to her, but I don't want it to be crappy if I am giving it to her so please tell me honestly what you think. (Keep in mind i'm 14.)
I met her in sixth grade and it was fun
In seventh grade, we feared she would be gone
Now, in eighth grade, the year is almost done
I sure hope I’ll see her before too long
People in this school I will surely miss
But one shines aside from all the rest
She’s done too much for even me to list
Mrs. Andert you truly are the best
Because she’d offer such a helping hand
And give me the wings that I use to fly
I’d like to thank Mrs. Andert from band
Now, when I think of her tears fill my eyes
So though third favorite teachers are nice
Mrs. Andert made costumes for the mice.
The third favorite teacher reference is to my english teacher (who assigned it) because her and I joke about her being my third fav. The mice reference is becuase in a play we had that I was in she mad costumes for the rats in the play.
