Hi,
My friend recently passes away after killing herself. I've written this poem in honour of her, and as a way of facing up to how badly I treat her.
Can you help me with it?
A thousand times she told me,
That she was gonna do it.
Why couldn’t I believe her?
Why couldn’t I?
Why couldn’t I?
A thousand times I saw her lacerated legs,
the puncture marks too.
Why wasn’t I strong enough to stop her?
Why wasn’t I?
Why wasn’t I?
A thousand times I’d find her howling in the night,
Pouring her soul into a bottle.
Why didn’t I listen to her more?
Why didn’t I?
Why didn’t I?
A Thousand times her parents invited me,
To her funeral which I think was last week.
Why didn’t I go to see her off?
Why didn’t I?
Why didn’t I?
