i wrecked a bike and hurt my shin now its numb and i don't know why does anyone

else know why? when i wrecked the bike i hit a hole in the ground and it flipped and the frame came down on my shin and hurt it and i iced it for about half an hour but now like three days later my shin is numb why would that be?
and if i had nerve damage is that bad?
i mean if i have nerve damage is that bad
