I have to do a ceramic pot for Art class. I wanted to make a circle pot with a whole in the top and make it look like a bunny.

I patted the clay around a big ornament that's plastic...

I can't figure out how to get the ornament out.. can I fire it with it in there without ruining the piece

The first part is done.

Clay shrinks as it drys so the clay will crack if left on the plastic

Cut the clay off the plastic when it is stiff enough.
try for 2 or 3 pieces like peeling an orange
Then rough up the cut edges and apply a slip made from water and the clay you are using.
Join the pieces back together

Make sure to have a hole for air to escape

no, the plastic will melt, and cause many problems.
you can try taking a mold for half a circle and making two. then put them together. that is what i did when i had to make a teapot.
