I currently have a Pioneer Premier 400UB head unit and the type A-series Pioneer speakers (72R) models (5.25 and 6x9) they are 3 ways... and I was wondering if it would be worth changing to the Alpine CDA-9884 head unit and the Alpine type R series speakers (2 way)...I also run an Alpine MRP-m850 amp with a 12 in. Alpine type R sub in a custom built vented box...I like to be able to eliminate the subs if I can get enough power from my speakers and head unit, because I have a 2nd child on the way...any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated
