I would like to sell fish in America, how do I do it legally?

I live in the states and I have a family member that is a local fisherman in the Caribbean. I would like to have the fish shipped here to the states for distribution. I am sure that we must obtain some sort of license but I do not know where to begin. How do I get started?

Talk to the city about regulation. The health inspector might come to look around.

You want to be a sell-fish person?

Talk to your local Chamber of Commerce, or town hall.

There will probably be local regulations, as well as health regulations, and possibly state regulations. It varies a lot depending on where you want to be sell-fish.
