* In my 10 gallon, filtered and heated tank with light =

6 Neon Tetra
1 Betta (added after the neon tetra so it doesn't claim the whole tank as its own)
- - - possibly 1 snail to aide in algae issues?
- - - and possibly a few months down the road a cory fish? I have heard they need to be kept in schools of 3 but people keep reccommending them for my tank, would it be big enough for a betta, 6 tetras and 3 corys?

What do you think?
thank you for the options! why is ember better?

It should be just fine.
Remember that neon tetras are pretty delicate fish. They are hard to keep alive. A very similar looking fish is called a cardinal tetra-- some pet stores even get the 2 mixed up-- lol. Cardinals will be a bit more hardy.
You will also want to cycle your tank before you put the tetras in there-- Otherwise you will surely lose a few if not all of them.

Good luck!!!!
