Business. What are my options? Hi Guys
I have reached a turning point in my life. I'm 30 and in a dead end job in Finance and Accounts. But I have a degrees in Business Management and a Masters in International Business Management. Plus a foundation in Project Management. I'm looking to be a specialist in some area rather than a master of none. I have been working in Finance (preparing accounts for companies) for a good few years now. I have also worked in Shipping for about 3 years.
I love working within a team to achieve a collective goal. I don't like sitting and looking at a computer screen unless what I am working on is absolutely interesting or 'problem solving' in nature. I like working on projects at my own pace. I love music very much. I have a band and enjoy the recording and writing process very much. In fact its what I want to do for a living but fully understand the competitive nature of the music industry.
I like helping people. It gives me a buzz.
I like project based work which requires working for the completion of a project.
I am always very inquisitive and curious. Its a part of my nature.

So with all the above in mind, can you please recommend some vocation that I can pursue seriously?

I really would appreciate your help in this.

You obviously want to stay within a business role, but one that is project based; why can't you involve music in this?

Booking agencies, record labels, promotions and PR, even advertising or some form of marketing. You've got the business knowledge, you just need to apply it to a certain area. I would look in this direction, as it's an interest of yours in the first place.
