I would like to boost WIFI out to detached garage?

I would appreciate some help making a good decision for getting a stronger signal out to my office in the detached garage. It's around 70 to 100 ft and through a few walls to get to my desk in the garage. There is a weak signal right in front of the garage, but with the door closed and another 15 feet to my desk there is no more signal. I am trying to keep this under $50 and as little setup trouble as possible. My router is a D-Link DIR and it works pretty well throughout the house.
Thanks!
I should mention that the computer is a desktop and I don't think that it has a built in wireless card. I have a small USB card from Newegg that I plugged in and it works fine if there is enough signal. I am open to getting a new wireless card for the computer if that will work better than the USB card
I would LOVE to hardwire. I have a bit of a challenge because there is a paver driveway separating the house and the garage. The previous homeowner was not far-sighted enough to run set up the conduit for later additions, so I would have to run a new one and get it under the driveway. I'm open to suggestions.
