We are all well aware that many people have lost fortunes on their investments and shares, I am sure everyone will join me in passing on our condolences to those affected.

I realise that this situation may have involved a change in lifestyle for some of you, probably to a way of living to which you are not accustomed, believe me, I hate to see those on the social ladder above me suffering financially.

However, I would just like to take this opportunity to let you know that,

My new 42inch LCD and Sky HD system are flippin fantastic.

Yes, yes I know, items such as this have been owned by you people for ages now, however, without this financial crisis, I would not have been able to afford it.

The question (before anyone says "Whats the question")

Have you ever watched "Transformers" in HD on a 42" LCD Screen Tv?
 
I imagine that in these uncertain times, that for pensioners on a fixed income, the falling prices are a Godsend. Have you seen the cheap holidays? you cannot live at home for those prices. Anyway I for one am very happy for you. Enjoy.
 
First thing is I would like to say I completely agree with your economic downturn, there are many people effected! Hope most of those will bounce back on their feet.
Second, I have a 42" HD<<LCD Tv. However have never seen "Transformers" on it. Many other DVD's look great however.
 
Relative "poverty" certainly has its own rewards!
I have consistently flown under the financial/ investment radar. (I am the grasshopper to those many worker ants -- earning just enough to cover expenses and enjoy life, never taking a penny from any kind of social/ work,etc, assistance.)
And, thanks to your "reminder", this weekend I'm going to go check out those humongous fancy liquid plasma whatever TVs (I'll take my techie expert with me).

Sky HD is rubbish-there are very few channels on it and personally,being a girl,I can tell no difference.
Word of warning-If you have kids do not let them near the TV with any form of shampoo-The LCD TVs are not waterproof!!!!
