in NE FLorida? It was just terrible. We saw some kids throwing something like a ball in the air from the distance. They ran, and when we came on the scene the turtle shell was cracked and bleeding. It died a slow death 
I chase the kids down but they kept running so I didn't get to beat them down! I feel terrible about this. This animal is actually protected. Is there anything that can be done about this?
I want to know for future reference.. and will the cops ever do anything about this? Also, where are the police on bike trails?!
