this void my warranty? I only drive it about once a week on the highway, so it didn't occur to me to check it sooner. I'm taking it to the dealer to get the oil changed tomorrow, and am not sure how worried I should feel.

where i live all the places put you down for a 3 month/3000 mile oil change that has nothing to do with the factory maintenance schedule. And if you exceed your factory scheduled maintenance it does not void your warranty otherwise everyone would have to have there dealer do all there oil changes. my point is there is a lot of do-it-yourselfers out there and there is no record of oil changes and your warranty is still valid so stop worrying and consider yourself lucky that is all you have to worry about.

That's not that much over on oil change intervals. Just try to avoid it in the future. I don't think that the dealer will say anything.. Why do you take it to the dealer for this service? It can probably be done better at a local lube shop for less money..
