And it seems everyone is sweating over whether or not Gareth Barry will be fit as Carrick wasn't so good. But what about Scott Parker? Don't you think this guy is better than Carrick and Barry and would be excellent in midfield with Lampard?
 
What Parker has got ,that I think Barry and Carrick lack a bit, is heart. He will run non-stop for the whole game, tracking back, making tackles and just doesn't stop. He's also got a great shot on him and is an intelligent passer of the ball as well. Although Carrick is good on his day, he didn't look great against Mexico and gave the ball away alot. Barry , even if he has got over his injury, can't be match fit, so I'm hoping Parker will get his chance against Japan which he deserves after how he's played this season.Maybe then, the doubters will see the strength and determination, that Parker could bring to the team.

Gareth Barry is better than Scot Parker - however Carrick is atrocious (im a United fan btw) Parker could be a very good midfielder and keep him in reserve but I'd prefer Barry, also despite his poor game I'd consider Milner in here as well
