The battery on the car keeps dying, it's a brand new battery, and alternator as well.

This does not sound like a computer problem.
It sounds like you have a short circuit or a bad voltage regulator. Or, you may have an electrical accessory that never shuts off (like a light in your truck that stays on after you close the trunk lid).
Automobile computers are expensive, so look for other causes first.
If you do need a computer, you may find a used part on eBay.

order a new one through a parts store this way you,ll get a warranty with it,if you buy one through a salvage yard they probably wont warranty it past their front door, you need to really have it checked out though to make sure that's what it is before you order one for it,two or three opinions are better than one on something like this, good luck.

pick and pull, usually at a car shop, they will have to order it specially for you, and that all make it a little more pricie.

Get a second opinion from a different mechanic. The computer isn't the first thing I would check with a bad battery and alternator. It could be many other (much cheaper) problems.
