I was telling my co-worker if I was drafted for war, I would dodge the draft,...

1 - It is against the law to dodge the draft (just ask Bill Clinton)

#2 - It is disloyal to our country and that is nothing to brag about.

...she said thats fine, but i would? she said thats fine, but i wouldnt go around telling everybody if i were you.

why does she think its not a good idea to tell people if i was drafted for iraq/afganistan/iran/china/syria/pakista… that i would dodge it?

I agree with her.....You seem so intent on telling your views , BUT , THERE IS NO DRAFT.........Having a strong anti-war stance is fine...Many in this country do.....Perhaps you could find a constructive way to express it ???

Republicans did away with the "draft". The U.S. now has an
all volunteer military. So, your only worry about being drafted
comes from Democrats who want to re-instate it. Your co-
worker is probably afraid it you tell people you would dodge
the draft that they might start calling you a "wimp", un-American,
or some names like those.

Um...one because it's against the law, and two because it's cowardly and traitorous.

You have no idea whats going on do you? Pakistan is our ally. China is our greatest trading partner. We are already pulling troops out of Iraq, and I don't know where you got Syria from.

Your friend is simply protecting you because there hasn't been a draft for 37 years and you would sound like an idiot if you repeated your statement.

In my opinion, too many people in this country are for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think that they are a total waste of American lives, not to mention the poor Iraqi and Afghanistan civilians. These are not wars of necessity, and we should pull out immediately. We cannot win either of these wars. We learned nothing from Vietnam. We learned nothing from the Russian defeat in Afghanistan. The year that I was in Vietnam, we lost an average of 47 American soldiers a day. Please, let's not do that again.
