i was in my toyota yaris and i raced a bmw m3 but i lost, how? wtf?

my yaris only has 4 cylinders which means the engine is lighter then the the stupid v8 the m3 has, and plus my overall weight is lighter then the stupid m3 but yet the bmw kicked my butt when that light turned green. wtf happened?
