I was enrolled at SLCC after the birth of my oldest child. I went for two semesters, and after the second semester, I was told that I was going to be put on Academic Probation. I found out a little of what I needed to do, which my counsoler advised I should appeal it due to some circumstances which made it difficult to stay in school (my husband and I were fighting, and I moved out, and it was just a hard point in my life). Well I ended up taking time off, and now I am really REALLY wanting to go back to school and finish it up.
I am wondering if I will still be able to get financial aid (pell grant) when I go back to school.
How does it work if I end up going to another school?
Will I still be on the academic probation?
What are my options as far as furthering my education?
Please help me! I am so lost, and I really want to get a degree and make my children proud and provide them with the life they deserve.
