Good luck on that one, because if you were to be born in the 40's, guess what Whistle Nuts your a*s would have been sent to Nam, sloshing through the rice paddies, during the 68 Tet-offensive hunting for "charlie".

Okay, feel better now? No I don't feel that way. I try to live in reality and am happy with my own life. Thanks for the easy points

Regardless of when you were born, everyday that you don't murder anyone or become an assassin, you can still experience the satisfaction, the thrill, the pleasure, and the pride you claim to be missing.

Personally, I wish you would've been born a Jew in Germany around 1920 or so. Your righteous indignation is pretty cheap with nothing to threaten your insignificant life.

I imagine that you and your "buds" are quite proud of your brave "run away, run away" stance in the face of danger. Don't look around you in time or trouble, because no one will have your back when you need it.

...the vietnam draft? I wanted to get the satisfaction, the thrill, the pleasure, the pride, of not being a murderer or assassin.

Hopefully i get drafted before i hit 42, so i can experience being a draft dodger for iran, korea, pakistan, syria, russia, china.

Anybody else feel this way?

We know you are just making stupid comments and don't care.
Many will say September 11, 2001. The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us:
* Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979;
* Beirut , Lebanon Embassy 1983;
* Beirut , Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983;
* Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988;
* First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;
* Dhahran , Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996;
* Nairobi , Kenya US Embassy 1998;
* Dares Salaam , Tanzania US Embassy 1998;
* A! den, Yemen USS Cole 2000;
* New York World Trade Center 2001;* Pentagon 2001.

If you were serious you wouldn't be registered for Selective Service. You lack conviction, and you will never know the satisfaction of having such.

it is cowardly and shameful to dodge your country's call for help

I wouldn't worry about it though, I'm sure if you got drafted you'd be ejected from basic training for attitude issues. don't worry about boot camp...the Marine Corps won't take you.

I always knew that's the reason Democrats keep pushing for the draft. They miss the hippy days when they were draft dodgers. And they think they are "progressive".

Still changing accounts and trolling, I see.

Just a piece of information, seeing as you don't seem to know too much. The WWII draft, was the same draft that inducted people into the military to serve in Vietnam. So, had you been born in the 40's (As I was), you WOULD have been drafted.

Now, stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

only your noodle-spined spoiled liberal lazy friends will feel this way. for it is those types who take for granted the simple freedom of being able to live your life in freedom without fear.

Okay, here's how this works. During a draft, you either go or you find a way not to go. But whichever path you choose, you don't criticize the people who chose the other path. Terrible things happen in war. Moral lines and codes are smeared beyond recognition, and it deeply affects those who go. To brand all the vets of Vietnam as murderers and assassins is very disrespectful and way to generalized. Their number got drawn and they choose to go.
Leave them alone, they never did anything to you.
