...little kid made a fart sound? and most of the dudes chuckled a little but all the women there were pissed and the bride looked upset that her I do was followed by a fart sound.

why so serious?

Um, because that's one of the biggest moments of your life and it's not the right time or place to make a fart sound. It's ridiculously inappropriate.

Having fun and joking around is for the reception, not during the ceremony where you're promising to spend the rest of your life with someone.

damn, something ELSE i gotta worry about!!

who the hell wants to spend any kind of money on a wedding just to have some little A-HOLE ruin the most important freaking part by making a fart noise? i would be very upset!!!!

Why is this even a question??
Kids are kids. This is a very good thing to remember when you consider inviting children to a wedding.
Kids do 'kid-like' things and we shouldn't expect any different. Besides - if all the women were upset - maybe a little comic relief is just what they needed.

becuase its a wedding, which is a very important time in a womans life! Thats exactly why there will be NO kids at my wedding!

lol some people take things very seriously and are very formal, and uptight. Personally, he's a kid,and knowing that there were kids coming, i'd of provided coloring books for them to use in a different room of the church or wherever i was having it done and be expected for some interuptions. Pretty rude thing to do , no doubt, as the child should of been taught there's a time and place, and been told apon arrival ( behave!) but the parents maybe just didn't expect it, who knows.
Then again, I am a total nut and probably would of made an even bigger sound and got the whole place roaring.. then proceeding with the rest of the ceremony. Marriage is supposed to be fun not ornary.. some people just don't have a sence of humour! lol, why not start it off with a big laugh? it's just words. the real ordeal comes after the cake cutting and real life starts.. some woman are just uptight.,

Its your wedding day and you don't want something making fun of your vows because they are very serious. I understand laughing and I understand being upset about it. I think the parents of the child should have scolded him severely for what he did because that is neither time or place.

I probably would not have been upset...and may have even laughed it off. Kids are kids and when you invite them to adult occasions, you have to understand and be willing to accept that they get bored and may do something totally inappropriate to amuse themselves.

If I were the bride, I may have picked up a rose bud, made a face at him and said as I threw it at him and said, "stop that"....then resumed the ceremony.

Kids are kids...and so are some adults.
