I was thinking about getting Photoshop; mainly to design logos and iPhone/iPad icons for iOS development. I asked my friend where he would recommend buying it, but he said "I didn't have that problem." He told me about the torrent sites, which I certainly heard of before, however, it all sounded really sketchy. He was like, "don't waste your money." I don't want my ISP contacting me for piracy, and I definitely don't want my computer being used to relay installed programs all around the world to people I don't even know. I'm using the LEGAL trial version right now. What do you think about the whole piracy issue. I've personally never pirated music, videos, or any form of digital content, and I don't want to start. I'm planning on using Photoshop professionally, and I have to submit icon files and logos to Apple for any applications I create. What's your opinion on all of this?
I was about to get Photoshop, but my friend says "nobody buys software anymore." What?
