I mean how do I go about getting it published. Like what are the steps. Smarty
I have always had very vivid dreams since I was a child. Always about fighting evil. I know it sounds corny, but they are very lond and detailed. I tell my family about them and they love it. It was their idea for me to write.

im in that situation first decide what your going to write about, then decide the characters names, the setting the main idea of it then try and get started if you need more help then send me an email

1. It would help if you had something to write about.
2. assuming I didn't need to point out the above statement, extrapolate on your topic.

develop characters, create conflicts and danger, make it exciting.

One bit of caution, though, don't make any Mary Sue characters. A Mary Sue is a character that is perfect in every way and does everything perfectly and doesn't have any flaws or troubles. Believe it or not that makes a story quite boring.

Steps for publishing are not few. There is an easy way and a hard way. The hard way is the best and guaranteed, the easy way is for someone who doesn't want to put orht the effort to do publishing right.

The hard way:
1. write your book
2. Find an editor

Finding an editor/agent/publisher will be one of the hardest things you have to accomplish before publishing. Don't just think you can send off your manuscript to just any publishing company or editor. There are many different publishers that do different things. For example, some only print books on history, other only print religious books etc. You don't want to send a book on atheism to a christian publishing company. DO THE RESEARCH. If you get an agent they will do the rest of the work for you after you send them all you need to send them.

3. Once you have an agent/editor you need to send information in on your book. Not only will you need to write a two page summary on your whole book, but you will also have to send him/her a summary/outline of ALL of your chapters. Then you will need to send another paper telling who you are, what you hope to accomplish by writing this book, what people can learn from this book, why people would read the book, what your ideas are for the future of your book.

Then you will need to send in information about yourself (usually they will ask everything).

4. Once you get all that in to them they will send it back with corrections, things they think you should cut out or rearrange. But they will only do that if they accept your manuscript. Sometimes they will reject it flat out and you'll have to repeat steps 1-3 over and over.

5. Once your editor/manager/agent is satisfied (meaning you both have been sending the manuscript back and forth week after week making corrections and recorrections) they will get to work on publishing it. They will set up book signings to get your book known out there. They are going to work just as hard as you to get your book known because they are going to be making money off of it too. Usually they take 20% of your sales.

And that's basically it in a nut shell.

The easy way:
go to publishamerica.com and tell them about your story Withing a week they will tell you to send it in and it will be published. They can help you set up book signings but they won't get it on the shelves. It is almost impossible to get your book on the sheles unless it does really well.

After you spent all that time writing your book I'd advise you to do it the hard way. After all it got my books published.

what kind of book do you want to write? what is your topic of interest? please give these details... if you are going to write a novel or something, think of a nice plot and then begin to write. if you are going to write a book about something, start from it's history..
