I want to unlock my iphone myself?

I have a unlock iphone, and just about 5 mins ago, it gave me a restore needed sign, now if i restore, i know it's gonna lock... So now i have a lot of time on my hand and i want to unlock the phone myself after i restore, bcuz im not gonna repay to get it unlock. can anybody give me a good site that shows how to do it correctly and easily?
