I Want to unbrand my N8

Hello can anyone using a Rogers N8 help me unbrand it please. Its important because our phones are missing critical menu options. I speak of being able to toggle on/off 3g or edge radios which is not available as we dont get the "network mode" heading. Also is there a pc suite for this phone? I tried nokia but saw no options for an n8. Thank you.

Can't help you with the unbranding but there is the OVI Suite for the N8
and the PC Suite I had on my PC recognized the N8 even if it it was not
compatible according to the Canadian Nokia site

try www.mobileincanada.com. I emailed them last week and they said they can unlock the Rogers Nokia N8. Apparently they are a very good site and do it for you quickly. If you try let us know.. thanks

Have you tried to use NSS to change your product code like older Nokia phones? I'm not sure if this procedure will work on Symbian^3, but it's worked on all other Nokias to date.

Various options are missing in the Rogers N8 rollout ie: Network Mode (heading) and mp3 ringtones etc. Maybe more as I've not seen an unbranded unlocked phone yet.

BTW, I can put MP3 ring tones, the music app needs to find them first I think?
