...should I learn first? My friend in a game design program at the local community college says to try out Game Maker or something. My other Computer Science friend at UMD says to learn Java first. I always thought C++ was what you should learn first. I have no programming experience whatsoever, and I just want to make games for fun, but I also want to make them big like an XBL arcade game or something.
So what do you recommend that I learn first? I want to be able to make games like an Indie or arcade developer does so I can maybe go into the gaming industry making full retail games.
