I want to take my boyfriend to a Nascar race, HELP!?

I want to take my boyfriend to a really good Nascar race for his 23 birthday. Hes taking me to Colorado, so I wanted to have surprise for him. What would be the best track for the Nextel series? What track has the best rates, best races, or whatever. I just need some suggestions. I live in Illinois, I was wanting something close. Please let me know....preferably in the summer season.
 
Michigan and Chicagoland would be closest. But if you really want to give him a treat, go to Bristol. It wouldn't be terribly far, more like a nice weekend trip.
 
Illinois has a race, at Chicagoland in Joliet. It will be a night race in July. Personally, I'd go to the Brickyard (Indianapolis), also in July. Michigan also has races in June (Father's Day weekend) and August (the 17th). Those are really the only nearby tracks.

My favorite track is Darlington, but it is in South Carolina.
Lowe's races are one of the cheapest to attend. Humpy Wheeler (the president of Lowe's) always works up deals that get you into all the events for under $100 bucks. In October, you saw a dirt late model race, qualifying, the Nationwide race and the Cup race for $99. He has deals for the AllStar weekend starting at $44 and for the Coke 600 weekend starting at $89.
 
If you're looking for a good deal, I suggest a NASCAR Nationwide Series race--they often have a good mix of upcoming talent with experienced drivers. Depending on which part of Illinois you live in, I suggest either Gateway, Chicagoland, or The Milwaukee Mile.
 
You have Chicagoland, its a night race this yr...theres the Brickyard, and Michigan also and Kansas..The cheapest tracks are in the south, Darlington and Lowes in Charlotte.. Since you live in Illinois, I'd go to Chicagoland, its a fun place.
