I want to take a macro shot of my cat's eye with flash enabled but it keeps scurrying...

i don't know what macro shot is but if it uses the flash, would you let someone do that in your eye? if there is no flash i apologize.
 
Are you sure you want flash for this? Not only it makes the 'model' run away, but also the reflection and possibly red-eye would make the photo worst. Why not put your cat on a well-illuminated place, such as near a window, bump up a bit the ISO and shutter speed if needed, and have a photo with no flash? I think you will enjoy more the resuts.
 
You could wait until the cat is sitting somewhere or lying somewhere and try not to scare it away and then take do it...
