loaned her my camera? I loaned her my camera and she refuses to give it back. i been asking for it for 2months and she always give me a lame excuse on how shes going to bring it but never shows up. I missed so many family events due to the fact that i dont have my camera and I dont want to approach her because she have a criminal background. she spent 1 year in jail for stabbing a girl. What should I do? How should i go about this safely?
also i dont have the receipt for the camera. how would i know how much to sue her for?
 
you can sue her for the amount of the camara plus you could try to get a little bit more for "damages" because you missed taking pictures with your family. but that part may not hold up in court because you could have bought a disposable camera. OR you can actually sue her for the actual camera (grant it, it is in the same condition that you let her borrow it) and if thats the case if it is damaged then you can sue her for damage of personal property...but definitely take her to small claims court for that
