i want to straight pipe my 1996 Toyota Paseo but im not too sure how to do it..i need...

...some help? i want the exhaust to be a little louder but i dont want to have to buy an after market muffler or anything like that...i heard removing the muffler and resinater and replacing it with a peice of test pipe (straight pipe) should work pretty good...what do you think i should do???
