I need help in starting photography. There are these people in my church who have all these fancy cameras and stuff and I saw there photography and its really really good and they inspire me. But it isnt only that but im a visual type person, and Im into arts also. Even My own Father, He's into Photography and he tells me alot about it. Even My Mom, Shes interested in photography too but doesn't take it as serious as my Dad. I'm only 12 (Borrowing a friends account), and I have a really boring job (NewsPaper Route) which really sucks but back to the point, I've saved up around $2000 dollars. I don't know what to use it for but I want to use it to buy a Camera. I've been reading and Reading and My Dad brought me to this Confrence (Like the ones Steve jobs has with new products) but it was for photography. It was called ProFusion I think. Well back to the Main Point, My Parents have a thing for photography and I want to start out to. I've been looking around the internet looking at different types of Cameras, and Types. I heard D-SLRs are the best type and Canon is on top of the photo technology market. My Dad owns a Canon EOS 7D while my Mom Owns a Sony Camera, I dont know the model very well but I know both are DSLRs. I've seen the prices and Im looking for Something around $450. The Plan is going very well but I don't know how to approach my parents and ask them if I can. Even if I make the Money, there really strict and I can only buy things with their permission. My Dad once asked me during a lecture if I wanted to try something and he offered me if I wanted to start photography, I was in trouble back then and talking back to my parents, is kinda hard for me (I feel bad for myself I don't even have the guts to share my feelings) so I didn't say anything. and now im here stuck feeling stupid I took down that offer. He also is kinda cheap in a way. he would buy expensive things for himself but sometimes he won't let me buy expensive things for myself. Eg. He buys a $2000+ camera, but won't let me spend 50 bucks on a video game. So Im gonna have to find a way to convince him. Same goes for my Mom too but shes less strict. I really want to start photography, I just need a way to tell them and a way to convince them to let me buy a camera. and while I do that I need help picking out a camera, I've been eyeing on the Canon XS Rebel and this Nikon Camera, Its 10.2MP with 18-55mm lens. Theres this deal in futureshop.ca saying I can get the Nikon Camera 10.2MP 18-55mm with 14x optical zoom and a 55mm-200mm lens for $550. Sounds Like a deal, but i dont know so Im gonna keep searching or try looking for a used one. I also want one with nice focus affect. I saw this amazing photographer at my church and her photos look like everything else but the main object is detailed and clear. Thanks to everyone who can answer.
