I live in a very sandy area, but I really want to start a veggie/flower garden. Does anyone has any suggestions on how to get things to grow? Maybe a type of soil and how much to use? Anyone in Florida have any vegetables they want to share with me that grew well? Anyone have any experience with apple trees in Florida and know if they grow here? All tips and expert advice will be appreciated. :D

"..and well drainage", most directions end. In sandy soil—you got it!

You want to know "everything". But on the other hand, what if I told you rudebacker grows well in Florida. Would you grow it? Don't, it tastes terrible!

So grow what makes you happy. If you want a certain type of flower, then go ahead and plant it. A vegetable? Put it in the ground, and take care of it.

Here's a my message. Fertilize, often, with 10-10-10. Well drained soil eats the stuff up. Two, water often. Combining these two things will let you grow just about any plant you want.
