I want to run OCR on some images and then save the OCR result as a pdf. I have...

....djvu, but i want .pdf? Here's the deal. Has anyone tried any2djvu.org?

On that website, you can upload any document/image you want. They will provide you a finalized .djvu file that has the original images preseved in it, but the OCR has also be run on those images.

This means, if i scan my documents with a lot of graphics and type-settings and then upload them to that website, i get
1.) A file which has the scanned images preserved in it
2.)But this file allows you to copy text as it is.

So, suppose I scan some Magazines and upload them to the site, the the resultant .djvu file will give me the actual look of the magazine, but at the same time, I can use a copy text tool to copy whatever text that is there in a selected area, which is because OCR has been run.

Now, I want to distribute these files through scribd.com which does not support .djvu files. What should I do?

Please, do not suggest .Universal Document Converter. That will make a pdf but there is no OCR in that pdf. I want to make searchaeble text PDFs which would preserve the original image as well.

Hope you guys are getting my point!
