I want to replace my heater core in my 99 dodge ram.?

This may seem crazy but I want to do it for the experience. I was told that can only take out just a few bolts buy the window and the whole dash should slip out? Is this true? Or do I have to take the whole dash apart. Please only answer if you going to be adult about this and not childish!! Thank you Rob
 
Not too bad for an experienced tech. I have done several of them and could probably do it blindfolded by now but...

You need to get a Chiltons or Haynes manual on your truck. it has step by step directions. Follow them precisely

It is not quite as easy as removing a few bolts as there are several electrical connections that need to be released and you have to remove the box in such a way as to not damage the A/C condenser unit.
 
get online and go to autonomics.com or get achiltons auto manual and these sources will show yoy step by step good luck
