Just because YOU think your a good writer does not make you one. I, like you, once thought of myself to be an AMAZING writer for the same reason, but that was not until I toughed up after I got an editor. Can you express your political and philosiphical views in manors that are so descreet, they are only obviouse to those mature writers? Have you researched every number you've put down in the book - right down to the very simple, "She took two steps forward"? Can you tell me what style of grammar you are using, standard, formal, modern, or, what I like to call, mutt's gramar? Do you know what a prepositional phrase is and the tequniques that sell a book? How about this: how long did you spend editing? I have writen only two chapters of a book I am writing and have already spent 6 hours editing.
How about this last one. Are your reading skills at high school level? Right now, my teacher says I have to knowledge and comprehension of an AP softmore. I can extract a character's major weakness within a few pages, without any major conflicts or "seemingly" significant actions/ How? They're written in plain sight! It's just that most don't bother to barry themselves in books and constantly make connections and inferences. A writer is only as good as their experiances. And to be a profound writer, you must become a master reader. My father, at age eleven, could extract precise information from a high school level encyclepedia in ENGLISh, and his native language is spanish! Well, now he talks more english then spanish, but oh well! Sometimes it's in our blood: Mum has a minor in calculus and math requires a certain thought process, the same process you need to write with. Why was albert einstein listened to? He was so capable of putting his thoughts down on paper in a way that made people listen! Why? He had a reader's day dreams and a mathmaticians mentality! Any one can learn grammar and spelling, but not everyone can master phycology. Plus, Dad mention an IQ having to do something with it. We both share an almost genius IQ. Both of my rents were AP students with straight A's and fourth in line for validictorian in high school. Don't know about college. Also, we're optimists with a religion. Religion gives you lots of views, believe it or not.
If you THINK and KNOW you can be a "good" writer, then I suggest you have parents/teachers read your books. The best place to start is by submitting poems and short stories to magazines to get your name known. TeenInk.com is the website for a magazine that publishes teen's works. WEBook.com lets 14 years olds and above work on projects and submit them for publication. FictionPress.net is a beginners world of stories that can EASILY be taken and sold right under your nose. Lulu.com is an independent publishers site. Great for authors that don't know what to do. But usualy, publishing companies will pat you on the back and go, "Cute story, kid. Come back in a few years with some real work." It takes miracles for children and teens to make it in this business, honey. I'm not much older then you and I'e already seen so much... It's rough! And you will more likely then not, not have the stammna and thought process.
