I want to paint on fabric. What kind should I get?

I want to find a piece of fabric that could be used like curtains or something but... seethrough, like a flag poster kind of material.. thin,
I would want it white so I could paint on it,
and after I'm done painting, I just want it thin so light could shine through the colors?
what kind of material am I looking for? Where can I find it?
