...and finish grad school..? Started living with my girlfriend at her parents house, and now we're moving out to our own place. She is hoping to start grad school next year, I am just finishing up in a few weeks. I have been dying to move out west to go live a more active lifestyle outdoors, for a long time, and now that I have my graduate degree, this is now the ticket to do this that I didn't have before, since it will be a lot easier to get a job.

Besides the fact that I know her family will probably freak out when we try to move out there, because they will want her close to home and they rarely venture out beyond a 30 mile radius... That's another issue, but well cross that bridge when we get to it.

I am not sure I want to wait with her for 2-3 years while shes finishing graduate school before I start living out there. However, she kind of just expects that I will and gets really upset when I tell her I'm not sure I'm ready to. I just kind of feel like we're not married yet, so it's not like we have to constantly live together, and on top of that, I am going nuts living near/in the city, and my current job here is awful. Not to mention, I really don't like the lifestyle associated with this area. It's really hard to be active and enjoy the outdoors.

So I told my gf recently that although we are living together, we may have to live apart for a little bit-- she was upset and says she doesn't want to think about it. However we are moving into a new apartment today, thankfully on a short lease, but I told her already, if I don't find the right opportunity out here, I'll be forced to take one where I have to go.

Anyone been here before?
