i want to major in culture studies, but is it demand right now?

i want to major in culture studies in college, but because of the economy right now i would like to know if their are any jobs in that field right now? is is somehting to get into or not? i would also like to know what kinds of jobs are culture studies? [does that make sense?] THANKS EVERYONE!! :)
 
Unless you get a doctorate there are essentially no jobs in that field, never have been and never will be. And with a doctorate all you can do it teach the subject.

An undergrad degree degree in cultural studies looks very good over your work station at Starbucks.

Sorry but that's the way it is. 80% of the BA degrees do NOT lead to jobs.
