i learned piano for less than 2yrs when i was young and have been playing it at home with sheet musics of my favorite songs. I know which notes are played for all the chords(I learned from some elsewhere). sus, aug, dominant7th; all that stuff... I do not know in what rhythm or form the chords are played. now I want to learn to play how to get my both hands to play the bass and the chords (so i can accompany when there is singer(s), and also how to have 1 hand play the chords, and the other, melody. arpeggio (or whatever it's called...) and non-chord notes- i want to learn to apply these too.
assuming you have read above, summing it all up, I have never tried playing lead sheets, how long will it take for me to learn to play with lead sheets? and where can I go learn? do I need to start from beginner's lesson and work through it step by step?
