I want to join the military but...?

I know I can't join the marines (my first choice), army, navy or air force - all because I have asthma. So, I was wandering...does the coast guard or national guard have the same policy?

I need discipline and I want to toughen up and it just kills me that I can't join the marines because of my respiratory problem.
 
is it mild ashthma or severe asthma,my roomate was in ROTC and she had excercised induced asthma, but that's mild and it tends to go away the better shape you're in.... but then again i don't know if her excercise asthma was formally diagnosed either
