I have a 2 gallon tank with no filter and he has rocks for the bottom, and he has a place to hide,he seems like a happy fish,I've only seen him 'puff out' his fins and get angry twice,I've had him for about 2 months..Can I introduce him to other fish? if so,what kinds..and will I have to make any changes? Also, how would I go about actually introducing him to others?

Male betas are only aggressive towards other male betas. Female betas and other types of fish are perfectly safe around them. They generally won't get violent with other types.
There's really no introduction process ... Just float the bag your new fish come in to acclimate them to the proper temperature and then free them into the tank.
Fish aren't intelligent enough to undergo any sort of introduction process. They don't have relationships with other fish and, therefore, do not need any special bonding or introduction.
Anyone who tells you otherwise obviously doesn't have much experience with fish.

You need at least a 10 gallon with a heater and a filter to introduce new fish. Cycle it for at least a month. The betta should have 5 gallons to himself. Once you have that you can add fish such as platys, neon tetras, endlers, and some cichlids. Stay away from fish that are nippy, have long flowing fins, and are aggressive.

EDIT: Bettas in the wild live in large rice paddies and prefer large environments. For you people who think rice paddies are small puddles you may want to look them up.

Your betta has to move to a heated and filtered tank ,10 gallons and you can put other fish in. Ya, people think u can put a boy and a girl together but really they kill each other becuase the girl looks like a boy to the male...they only come together to breed.

Bettas are aggressive towards other male bettas b/c of they are fancy colorful and does not like any other fancy fish. But they would do good with non fancy fishes if you had a bigger tank. The bettas like to be at top of the tank. Female bettas will do good with other fish you cannot put female and male bettas together.

Betta only need a small living space for starters - they actually prefer it. With a 2-gallon tank you should probably keep the water at half full.

Also Betta fish or Siamese fighting fish are not friendly to any other fishes. They will kill goldfish - sometimes the goldfish fight back, but don't usually win.

So... long answer short - if you don't want a bloodbathe, don't put other fish in there with him, they like being alone. (unless it's a female ;) )
