bring it up? I met a real nice guy back in July 2009 and befriended him. We were both plane passengers and sat next to each other. The flight was 5 hours and we started talking etc, he was going to visit his grandma who was dying of cancer and said this was probably the last time he'd see her. We both got along well and about 2 hours in he took a nap and ended up falling asleep on me which I think was intentional but nonetheless it was cute. He woke up an hour later embarrassed and we both just laughed about it. We exchanged phone numbers because he happened to live in the same city as me and not to mention he was very good looking (we both live in Vancouver), but the twist was that he was 16 at the time. He was mature and I was thinking he was around 22 or 23 at first, but it wasn't a big deal if we were just friends.
2 weeks later we met up and started chatting, texting etc, we both live on our own and he brought me to his apartment after a month just to hangout; he was on his own ever since he turned 16, works full time as well as night school, and unfortunately he didn't have any other family other than his grandma who passed. Ever since we met we've been good friends and we'd go to each others place and watch movies together, and just go out places casually. We've been to the beach together quite a few times this summer, and we got a little closer and we started cuddling during movies etc. (Just got to make a note that he turns 18 in November).
Just about a month ago I started developing slight feelings for him sexually, it's just been platonic for the whole time and he's expressed himself towards me how he enjoys his time with me and is attracted to me (as I am to him) and I've just been thinking about finally having sex together.I'd say were best friends honestly, we trust each other fully. I Don't know if he will make the first move just since it's been strictly platonic all this time and that I'm 24 now. I really want to bring this up to him but I don't really exactly know how to without it seeming awkward? I know when it happens nothing will change, we'll still be friends like always and I could possibly see a relationship (eventually maybe in a couple years or so) but for sure friends for now. (just to say I don't open my legs to anyone I'm very picky and smart about it but I do like him and think it would benefit our friendship greatly). I want to make it sort of special for us so I'm trying to think of some ideas.
Any advice on how I can bring this up with him, maybe next time we hang out or whatever and make it seem like a good memory? Note that in Canada it's not illegal, the age of consent is 16 down here. Serious answers only please, thank you :
