i want to go to LA in oct 26th, when should i book my tickets?

i applied for my passport just today .. australian passport... they said it wil take up to 3 weeks.. was concerned about what if i dont get the passport for some weird reason! lol ... . what should i do? because i know i can book without my passport unless i give them the exact name that will appear on passport


please helppp mee


should i wait 3 weeks ... or should i book within this week because the price was good .. 1000 dollars LA return 1 adult ...
