I am out of options either I go to college or join the military I can't go on working jobs I hate much longer. What I need is a way to support myself and go to school at the same time. I don't have much more than a thousand dollars and a busted up vehicle but I'll do whatever is necessary to learn something that will let me be free.

If you're in the USA then you should consider filling out a FAFSA form http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

By filling out that financial aid form you will be able to see if you qualify for grants or any type of loans that you can take out in order to pay for college and it'll let you know about scholarships you might qualify to apply for too. The school of your choice will also direct you to fill this out at their financial aid office.

I fill that out each year and qualify for grants. I use grants and loans and I also work at a retail store part time while I go to school full time. That's how I pay for it.

Sometimes you just have to suck it up and say to yourself, "I need to do this" and just get what needs to be done to do it done. That's what I do. Do I enjoy it? Hell no! I hate working in a retail store and taking out loans, but I'm getting an education so that one day I don't have to do that kind of job and all and live a much better life. It's the life of a typical college student that doesn't have the backing of their parents or anyone else. The most that I have to spend per month is probably only $30 after I've covered all of my rent and bills.

i agree with linda. use fafsa. get you a part time job. i am a waiter, and i make decent money to pay my bills and have a little extra on the side.

i would recommend waiting table, because you are only paid 4.19 at the most an hour. when you file your taxes. tips are not included in your annual income. so you are in a different tax bracket.

when you file for financial aid, they refer to that.

i was awarded over 7000 dollars from fafsa for the complete 09-10 year.

i make what i can to live. but i know having an education will will be worth it.
