I want to get muscular fast! What/ how to eat?

I'm skin17, pretty skinny but I want to get muscular arms, legs, and abs! I've been doing p90X for about a week and it really does work and I'm drinking protein shakes. I want to know how/ when I should eat to gain muscle. I don't really want to lose weight just gain muscle. And about how much time will it take working out 5 days a week?
