I have a 2004 Ford Mustang with a pretty good sound system, but I'd like to get a 10" sub woofer to increase my sound a bit. I drive a convertible, so I don't know anything about how it would get hooked up, and I certainly don't know how much it should cost (product + installation). Can you give me some information so I don't get swindled?
Also, do I need to buy an amplifier? What is one anyway?

If you are looking for a 10inch sub and the bang for the buck I'd go with,Infinity or Pioneer for starters. With that you'll need at least a 250-400amp mono sub amp just for the sub. That will give you more than enough power for the sub.Usually depending on where you live Best Buy does it a fairly good job there.Don't go to Circuit City because people I know don't go there since they suck at it.Or if you have a Ultimate Electronics and they do well to or any custom shop does it for a good price.
